Magnetic Mail Slot Covers


Magnetic Mail Slot Covers use flexible magnetic sheet material which allows mail to be easily placed through slot openings with little resistance. The sheet then closes shut immediately to prevent any air drafts created by typical exterior mail slot doors. A magnetic receptive material sheet with an adhesive back is provided for wood door applications. A decorative two-piece mounting bar retains the mail door and conceals mounting screws to add the finishing touch. All hardware is included - see installation instructions below for further details.

Magnetic Mail Slot Covers

Wood / Fiberglass Doors / Walls

1. Remove all existing hardware from opening. Surface must be clean and dry.

2 . Before removing the backing from the Adhesive sheet (E), place sheet over opening centering sheet from left to right and allowing 1/2” overlap at the bottom and mark outline with pencil.

3. Remove backing from sheet (E) and press firmly in place. Use a utility knife to remove excess from opening.

4. Place Cover sheet (A) over Adhesive sheet with the top flush and the sides and bottom overlapping 1/16”. Hold Mounting bar (B) (rounded end down) flush at top and sides of Cover sheet and mark (3) holes.

5. Drill 3/32” holes thru sheets 1/2” deep (3) places and secure Mounting bar with (3) screws (D)

6. Press or slide Decorative strip (C) in place.

Steel Doors

1. Remove all existing hardware from opening. Surface must be clean.

2. Place Cover sheet (A) over opening allowing a 1/2” overlap at the bottom and centered from left to right.

3. Hold Mounting bar (B) (rounded end down) flush at top and sides and mark (3) holes.

4. Drill 3/32” hole thru Cover sheet 1/2” deep (3) places and secure Mounting bar with (3) screws (D).

5. Press or slide Decorative strip (C) in place.
